We offer services based on a fee or commission basis or a combination of both, this can be agreed with each client.
If you choose to pay a fee, we charge fees for our professional services in three areas: advice, implementation and review. Any commission from arranging a recommended financial product belongs to you - the client – and you can decide to use part of it to pay our fees or rebate it to reduce future product charges.
If you choose the commission route, we have always given substantial discounts to our local clients from Rutland; due to the success of this we have extended this offer to all clients, wherever they are based.
In addition to being able to offer these discounts, our position as a well-established family firm with a personal service, means that you can avoid two of potential pitfalls of dealing with larger organisations:
Firstly we do not have a constant turnover of advisers.
Secondly your adviser has no need to chase sales and commission targets.
Our written reports and advice are explained in plain English, we try our best to avoid jargon.
Our team offers all the services of a good traditional IFA.
In addition we also offer specialist wealth management.

At First Light Investments we give advice to many private clients and our experience allows us to offer a specialist investment service; in addition we can introduce clients and companies to that broad range of coordinated advisory services which now form such a part of financial planning in our complex world.
As a result we cover many other aspects of financial planning and work in conjunction and partnership with a variety of specialist City Firms, Trust Companies, Accountants and Business and Legal Advisers to offer a comprehensive service to those with potentially more complicated affairs.
These can include:
