Our Principal Advisor Peter Dracup is a science graduate from the University of Bristol. Peter spent many years working in education, during this time he also worked as an examinations officer for Cambridge University Examinations Syndicate and the Midlands Examinations Group.

Peter has been a financial adviser from his base in Rutland, since 1993.

In addition to being one of the most experienced Financial Advisors in the United Kingdom, the broad sweep of Peter’s work, qualifications and experience have resulted in him being awarded the prestigious Chartered Financial Planner designation in 2007 by the UK Chartered Insurance Institute.

Peter was registered by the PIA as a Pension Transfer Specialist in 1999, was awarded the Certificate in Advanced Financial Planning in the year 2000 and the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning in 2007.

Peter originally set up the Independent Financial Advice firm Lindsey Consultancy in Empingham in Rutland; this became Lighthouse (Leicester & Rutland) after the year 2000, when he was invited to become a Founder Member of the Lighthouse IFA Network. The Lighthouse IFA Network was originally set up to provide specialist advice to wealthy clients and has grown to be one of the largest and most profitable IFA Networks in the UK.

Lighthouse (Leicester & Rutland) became First Light Investments when Peter moved on from the Lighthouse Group in 2007.

Throughout his life Peter has had a keen interest in the Conservation of the Natural Environment.
